Impact Wood is slated to miss the first several weeks of the season after he underwent a minor back procedure in mid-March. He's currently working through a throwing program. Aaron Sanchez will serve as San Francisco's fifth starter while Wood is sidelined.

Impact Wood is joining his third team in as many seasons, though he spent the 2020 campaign with the Dodgers.
