Impact Triggs threw just 8.1 innings for the Giants and Red Sox this season, posting a 7.56 ERA and a 7:6 K:BB. It wasn't a particularly compelling comeback after he lost the entirety of 2019 due to a hip injury. Injuries have limited him to just 34.3 innings per year since he debuted back in 2016.

Impact The 31-year-old was known to be suffering from a pinched nerve in his neck after delivering a scoreless inning Friday, and he's now dealing with a nerve issue in his hand. It's unclear how long Triggs is expected to be sidelined, but he may not pitch again this year with less than two weeks left in the season.

The right-hander has had mixed results this season, but it's unlikely that he'll be able to go very deep into Friday's start since he hasn't pitched more than three innings in any appearance in 2020.
