Lands on injured list Santander was placed on the 10-day injured list with a sprained right knee Tuesday.
Impact Santander suffered the injury Sunday against the Rangers. With less than a week left to play, the transaction ends the outfielder's season. It was largely a disappointing one for Santander, who posted a mediocre .719 OPS after seemingly breaking out with an .890 mark in last year's shortened season. Tyler Nevin was recalled to take his place on the roster, while Ryan McKenna could be set for an increased role in the final few games of the campaign.
