Randal Grichuk - Back in lineup Wednesday Grichuk (lower body) will start at designated hitter and bat third in Wednesday's game versus the Rockies.

Impact Grichuk had to be scratched from the Diamondbacks' lineup Sunday due to lower-body tightness, but he's been available off the bench the last two days and is starting Wednesday's game as the Rockies send southpaw Austin Gomber to the bump. The righty-hitting Grichuk is slashing .305/.370/.494 against lefties this season.

Andrew Knizner - Outrighted to Triple-A The Diamondbacks outrighted Knizner to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

Impact Knizner cleared waivers after being removed from the 40-man roster over the weekend, but he will remain in the organization for the time being. The veteran catcher is a career .210/.279/.317 hitter over parts of six major-league seasons.

Corbin Carroll - Logs 29th steal in loss Carroll went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and was hit by a pitch in Tuesday's 8-2 loss to Colorado.

Impact Carroll swiped his 29th bag of the season in the third inning but was stranded at second base. That hot stretch he had during the month of August has faded; Carroll is batting .220 (9-for-41) with one RBI over the last 11 games.

Luis Guillorme - Swipes bag in loss Guillorme started at second base and went 0-for-2 with two walks and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-2 loss to the Rockies.

Impact The steal was Guillorme's third in 18 games since joining the Diamondbacks. Ketel Marte was given the day off, clearing the way for Guillorme to get a start. Now that Marte is back from an ankle injury and regularly playing the field, Guillorme has receded into a backup role. Tuesday's start was his first in seven contests.

Lourdes Gurriel - Making progress in rehab Gurriel (calf) had four live at-bats at Arizona's camp facility at Salt River Fields on Tuesday, MLB.com reports.

Impact Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Gurriel came out of the activity feeling good. It's the second such activity the outfielder has had at camp over the last four days. The manager added that Gurriel also did some "aggressive baserunning" and "outfield work." The team is hopeful Gurriel can rejoin them during its current road trip. Arizona finishes a series against Colorado on Wednesday before moving onto Milwaukee.

Christian Walker - Clubs homer in loss Walker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-2 loss to the Rockies.

Impact Walker's eighth-inning blast cut the deficit to four runs before the Rockies fired back with two more runs of their own. The first baseman has gone 11-for-38 (.289) with three homers and eight RBI over 12 contests since he returned from an oblique injury. It's shaping up to be a strong end of the year for the 33-year-old, who is slashing .257/.344/.487 with 26 homers, 79 RBI, 66 runs scored, 23 doubles and two stolen bases over 119 contests.

Jordan Montgomery - Loses in return to rotation Montgomery (8-7) allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four over 4.2 innings to take the loss versus the Rockies on Tuesday.

Impact Montgomery made his last four appearances out of the bullpen, posting middling results. He had two scoreless outings, but he allowed seven runs across his other two games in that span. The veteran southpaw has struggled to a 6.23 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and 77:42 K:BB through 112.2 innings over 24 appearances (20 starts) this year. Montgomery should get at least one more start due to the absence of Ryne Nelson (shoulder), with that outing projected to be in Milwaukee.
