Impact Thomas padded the Diamondbacks' lead in the sixth inning with his second homer and eighth hit over 14 contests this month. Despite his mediocre hitting of late, he's still playing more often than not. The outfielder has posted a .236/.278/.390 slash line with nine long balls, 35 RBI, 47 runs scored and nine stolen bases through 112 games this season while seeing the bulk of his playing time in center field.

Drey Jameson - Shut down from throwing Jameson (elbow) has been "pulled back" on his throwing program due to arm tenderness, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Impact Jameson chose to rehab his strained UCL rather than have surgery to repair the issue. He was hoping to return at some point in 2023, though this development has almost certainly closed the door on that possibility and his 2024 campaign could also be impacted.

Zac Gallen - Mauled by Mets Gallen (15-8) took the loss against the Mets on Wednesday, allowing seven runs (six earned) on eight hits and two walks while striking out four batters over five innings.
Impact Gallen clearly didn't have his best stuff against New York, as he served up four extra-base hits, including a two-run homer by Mark Vientos. The Arizona ace tossed a shutout against the Cubs in his previous trip to the mound but has been struggling as a whole of late -- Wednesday's outing was his third over his past four starts in which he's given up at least five earned runs. Gallen's sudden inability to miss bats has played a factor in the poor stretch, as in each of the aforementioned three starts he's struck out four or fewer batters. The recent rough patch has pushed his season ERA up to 3.50, nearly a run higher than the 2.54 mark he posted last year.
