Tyler Zuber - Outrighted to Triple-A Zuber (shoulder) was outrighted to Triple-A Reno on Friday.
Impact Zuber hasn't pitched in a game since 2021 due to right shoulder impingement syndrome. He was claimed off waivers from Kansas City in October, but will have to start the season in Triple-A before the Diamondbacks feel comfortable bringing him back to the majors.

Impact Kennedy made his MLB debut with Arizona in 2022 and slashed .217/.325/.325 over 94 plate appearances. Now, as the D-backs unload their 40-man roster, the 24-year-old infielder will develop further in Triple-A, where his line jumps up to .261/.363/.385.

Impact Castellanos underwent Tommy John surgery in August, setting him up to miss the entire 2023 season. Before injuring his elbow in May, he had put up a 5.68 ERA and 1.40 WHIP through 44.1 innings.

Impact It's well worth keeping in mind the context of Lawlar's small sample of Double-A struggles -- this is a 20-year-old kid who was on his second promotion of the season after opening in Single-A. Lawlar's overall line is a far more accurate indicator of his potential: .303/.401/.509 with 16 home runs, 39 steals and a 57:115 BB:K. He'll need to clip that strikeout rate a bit and show more power in the high minors, but Lawlar certainly looks the part of a future All-Star. Arizona probably won't rush him to the big leagues, so look for him to spend much of 2023 in Double-A, with a mid-to-late-season promotion to Triple-A if he excels as expected.

Impact Carroll hit the second of back-to-back home runs off righty reliever Trevor Gott to put the Diamondbacks ahead 4-2 in the ninth inning. The outfielder finished his rookie campaign on a down note, recording a .205 average over 39 at-bats over his final 12 games. The 22-year-old was drastically more productive on the road during 2022 with a 1.099 OPS over 62 plate appearances compared to a .540 OPS over 53 plate appearances in Arizona, which resulted in an overall OPS of .830 in 32 contests.
