Impact A bat-first prospect, Kennedy is hitting .340/.427/.472 with two home runs, three triples and seven doubles while striking out at a 19.3 percent clip and walking 14 percent of the time in his last 39 games at Triple-A. Jake McCarthy was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. As a right-handed hitter, it's possible Kennedy will be limited to mostly short-side platoon work. Indeed, he is starting against a southpaw (Devin Smeltzer) in his big-league debut.

Impact Thomas went the other way with a second-inning double that produced Arizona's first run. That's something the rookie's worked on, as teams deploy a shift against the lefty hitter. The extra-base hit extended a hit streak to eight games and was his first multi-bag hit in 11 games. Thomas is 11-for-29 with five RBI, five walks, three stolen bases and seven runs scored during his streak.

Impact Peralta delivered the first of four runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, giving Arizona a lead it would not relinquish. The steal was his first successful theft in three attempts this season. The 34-year-old left fielder starts against right-handers only, so fantasy owners need to be vigilant in daily formats. Impact Perdomo slugged a two-run homer in the second inning to record his second long ball of the season. He drove in another run on a single in the eighth inning to manage his third multi-RBI performance of the campaign. Despite his strong effort, Perdomo is hitting just .224 with 14 RBI and 20 runs scored across 192 plate appearances on the season.

Dallas Keuchel - Pitches in ACL Keuchel allowed four runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out four for the Diamondbacks' affiliate in the Arizona Complex League on Monday.

Impact This was Keuchel's first game action with the organization after signing a minor-league contract last week. He threw about 80 pitches and did "fairly well," Arizona pitching coach Brent Strom told Theo Mackie of the Arizona Republic. The coach was pleased with the number of strikes thrown and the lefty's signature sinker; the downside was the fastball was not where Strom wanted to see it. Strom and Keuchel have history when the two were with the Astros, and the coach will monitor the pitcher's off-day throwing session Thursday.

The organization also has a couple of arms at Triple-A Reno perceived as major-league ready -- Tommy Henry and Ryne Nelson -- that could eventually make it to Arizona.

Jordan Lawlar - Collects five hits in rehab game Lawlar (back) went 5-for-5 with a double, a triple, two RBI and three runs scored for the Diamondbacks' affiliate in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Tuesday.

Impact This was Lawlar's second rehab game in the ACL -- he was hitless in two at-bats and hit by pitch Monday -- in his bid to get back to Single-A Visalia. He started at shortstop and played seven of eight innings in the field before being taken out for the final frame. The shortstop appeared to be unaffected by the back injury that landed him on the injured list May 25. Prior to his injury, Lawlar sported a .352/.461/.600 slash with seven home runs, three triples, four doubles, 30 runs scored, 21 RBI, and 18 stolen bases over 33 games. A return to the Rawhide is expected by the end of the week.

Impact Thomas extended his hitting streak to seven games with an infield single in the 11th inning. He then stole second and scored on a wild pitch to tie the game once again. During the streak, the rookie outfielder is 10-for-25 (.400) with three steals, four RBI and six runs. He's logged a .270/.336/.443 slash line with five home runs, three steals, 13 RBI and 19 runs in 128 plate appearances overall. Thomas has taken command of a starting role in center field, pushing the versatile Daulton Varsho to right field with the return of catcher Carson Kelly from the injured list.

Impact This was Davies' third straight quality start, but he was outplayed by Reds starter Tyler Mahle (12 strikeouts in nine shutout innings). Despite allowing just three runs in his last 20.2 innings, Davies has taken no-decisions in all three starts in that span.
