ImpactFried has been out for just shy of two weeks with a strained right hamstring. Atlanta has yet to announce when he'll be activated, but it's possible he returns over the weekend against the Blue Jays. With that series being played in an American League park, Fried wouldn't have to worry about aggravating his hamstring issue while running the bases.

Grant Dayton - Ineffective against ArizonaDayton gave up two runs on three hits and a walk over one inning of relief in the first game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks.

ImpactThe lefty threw only 15 of his 30 pitches for strikes after entering the game to begin the fifth inning, digging the hole a little deeper for Atlanta after they were already down 3-0. Dayton has been tagged for multiple runs in two of his five appearances to begin the season, saddling him with a 7.94 ERA through 5.2 innings, and he's unlikely to see high-leverage work any time soon.

Nate Jones - Shaky start to seasonJones came on to get the final out of the sixth inning during the second game of Sunday's doubleheader against the Diamondbacks.

ImpactWith Atlanta in a 7-0 hole and Arizona threatening to tack on more runs, Jones got Asdrubal Cabrera to pop out. The veteran right-hander has a 2.35 ERA through 7.2 innings this season, but his 1.43 WHIP and 6:6 K:BB suggest he's been very lucky, and his current low-leverage role limits his fantasy value.

ImpactThe southpaw is making progress in his recovery from a hamstring strain, but as yet there's no timetable for Fried's return to the rotation. As he's already been sidelined for two weeks, he'll need some time to ramp back up even after he's 100 percent healthy, and Atlanta won't want to risk Fried aggravating the injury by rushing him back.

ImpactManager Torey Lovullo said after the stitches are pulled, Locastro can jump back into game action as quickly as tolerated. "His progression should happen pretty quick," the manager said. He could come back to an everyday role in center field while Ketel Marte (hamstring) works his way back from injury, but the Diamondbacks are pleased with how quickly Pavin Smith has adapted to playing center.
