Franmil Reyes - Officially sent to minorsReyes was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday.
ImpactReyes cleaned out his locker after Monday's win over Arizona and has now been officially sent to Triple-A. The 27-year-old has a .213/.254/.350 slash line with nine home runs and 28 RBI in 280 plate appearances this year, so the demotion is well warranted. Oscar Gonzalez (intercostal) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Ian Kennedy - Earns fifth saveKennedy picked up the save Tuesday in Cleveland, striking out the side in the ninth inning of a 6-3 victory.
ImpactKennedy made quick work of the final three spots in Cleveland's lineup, needing 14 pitches to punch out all three batters. It was his fifth save of the season and first since June 9. Mark Melancon took the loss Sunday and Monday and may have just been given a day of rest, leading to Kennedy's save chance. That said, given Melancon's recent struggles and 4.66 ERA for the season, it wouldn't be surprising to see Kennedy receive a few more save opportunities over the last two months.
