Coors Field, Denver, CO
Josh Rojas - Gets day off SaturdayRojas is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.
ImpactAnother multi-hit effort Friday has Rojas hitting .548 with six extra-base hits and seven RBI in his last eight games. Drew Ellis is playing second base and batting eighth Saturday.

David Peralta - Out again SaturdayPeralta is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.
ImpactAfter tripling as a pinch hitter Friday, Peralta has now hit .244 with three extra-base hits and five RBI since the beginning of August. Daulton Varsho is playing left field and batting seventh Saturday.

Luke Weaver - Works 4.1 innings in rehab startWeaver (shoulder) covered 4.1 innings Friday in his rehab start for Triple-A Reno, surrendering three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out six.
ImpactMaking the third start of his rehab assignment and his second in a row at Triple-A, Weaver built up to 73 pitches Friday, pumping 50 in for strikes. The workload suggests that he's sufficiently built up for starting duty, so the Diamondbacks could reinstate him from the 60-day injured list and have him make his next start with the big club. Before he was shut down in late May with a right rotator cuff strain, Weaver made eight starts for Arizona, posting a 4.50 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 40 innings.

Asdrúbal Cabrera - Delivers two hits in lossCabrera went 2-for-5 with a double in Friday's 9-4 loss to Colorado.
ImpactCabrera has started eight of the last 10 games, which in a vacuum isn't odd, but is so when one factors in Arizona's record ranks 29th among 30 teams. Perhaps manager Torey Lovullo is deferring to the 35-year-old's veteran status, but the manager has several young players up with the team that could use those plate appearances. For now at least, Cabrera should be considered a regular, playing four-to-five games per week.
AUGUST 21, 2021ROTOWIRE
Drew Ellis - Plays regularly despite averageEllis started at second base and went 1-for-2, was hit by a pitch and scored a run scored in Friday's 9-4 loss to Colorado.
ImpactEllis started for the seventh time over the last nine games, showing up at second and third base, despite not doing very much at the plate. The 25-year-old infielder is 4-for-22 (.182) during that stretch and batting .136 with a .460 OPS overall. Arizona manager Torey Lovullo will give at-bats to young players like Ellis, who has not been as productive as Josh Rojas, Josh VanMeter or Pavin Smith.
AUGUST 21, 2021ROTOWIRE
Garrett Hampson - Displays power, speed in winHampson went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a walk in Friday's win over the Diamondbacks.
ImpactHampson got the Rockies on the board in the first inning with a two-run, 426-foot blast. He showed off his wheels in the sixth, stealing second base after drawing a walk and then coming home to score on a Sam Hilliard triple. Hampson is slashing a modest .238/.292/.380 on the season but has contributed 15 thefts along with seven long balls.
