ImpactCarroll filled up the box score again Sunday, coming a homer shy of the cycle while fueling Arizona's comeback victory. The star rookie has been on a tear, batting .500 (13-for-26) over his last six games with eight extra-base hits, including four homers, in that span. Carroll's now slashing an eye-popping .308/.389/.579 with 13 homers, 33 RBI and 47 runs scored while going 19-for-21 on stolen base attempts.

Zac Gallen - Struggles in no-decisionGallen did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing five runs on 10 hits and two walks over 5.2 innings against the Tigers. He struck out five.

ImpactGallen surrendered a season-high 10 hits Sunday after allowing nine in his last outing against Atlanta. However, unlike his previous start, Gallen couldn't limit the damage against Detroit as four of their hits went for extra bases, including a Zach McKinstry two-run homer. The 27-year-old Gallen came into the day with a 2.04 ERA in his previous three outings. He's now 7-2 with a 3.09 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 93:19 K:BB across 14 starts (84.1 innings) this season.

Scott McGough - Picks up second saveMcGough recorded the save in Sunday's 7-5 win over the Tigers, recording a strikeout in two-thirds of an inning.

ImpactMcGough entered in relief of Andrew Chafin with runners on the corners and one out. The right-hander would strike out Javier Baez before inducing a game-ending groundout from Nick Maton. The 33-year-old McGough has been spotless of late -- he's now gone 11.1 innings without allowing a run, allowing just two hits while striking out 17 in that span. His ERA is down to 2.97 with a 0.87 WHIP and 39:12 K:BB through 33.1 innings this season. With Miguel Castro struggling a bit of late, McGough could be in the mix for more closing opportunities in Arizona.
