Impact The 24-year-old superstar has steals in three straight games and has seven successful pilfers in 15 contests so far in July, giving him his second career 20-steal campaign. Acuna is only batting .237 (14-for-59) on the month with one homer, but getting a bit of a breather over the All-Star break could help perk up his bat in the second half.

A.J. Minter - Collects fifth save Minter walked one and struck out one in a third of an inning Friday to record his fifth save of the season in an 8-4 win over the Nationals.

Impact Will Smith began the ninth inning with Atlanta ahead 8-1, but his struggles forced manager Brian Snitker to turn to Minter to quash a Washington rally as Kenley Jansen had pitched each of the prior two days. Over his last 10 appearances, a stretch that includes all five of his saves plus three of his 18 holds, Minter sports a 2.16 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 10:2 K:BB through 8.1 innings.

Impact The right-hander wasn't particularly efficient, tossing 60 of 101 pitches for strikes, but Atlanta handed Anderson a 3-0 lead before he set foot on the mound and he never let Washington get close. Impact After striking out the first batter he faced, Jansen gave up a solo homer to Maikel Franco. With a runner on second and two outs, he fanned Josh Bell after running the count full to end the game. It was his 21st save and first since returning from the injured list with an irregular heartbeat earlier this week. While his 3.63 ERA leaves something to be desired for a closer on a likely playoff team, his 49:8 K:BB, 0.95 WHIP and .195 batting average against suggest the veteran may have been somewhat unlucky in the first half of the season.
