Carson Kelly - Notches 12th homerKelly went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and a walk in Thursday's 6-4 win over Atlanta.
ImpactKelly tagged a Jacob Webb offering to left field in the seventh inning to pull the Diamondbacks into a 4-4 tie. It was the 12th homer of the year for Kelly and first since Sept. 4, snapping an 11-game drought. He's hitting .236 in 331 plate appearances this season with a respectable .756 OPS.

J.B. Wendelken - Earns second save of seasonWendelken saved Thursday's victory against Atlanta, tossing a scoreless ninth inning to lock down a 6-4 lead.
ImpactWendelken needed only 10 pitches (seven strikes) to set down Ehire Adrianza, Joc Pederson and Jorge Soler, earning his second save of the year, both of which have come in the last nine days. The 28-year-old right-hander owns a 4.28 appearances in 40 innings this season, posting a 38:18 K:BB.

ImpactBumgarner gave up an RBI double to Ozzie Albies and a two-run homer to Austin Riley in the third, but otherwise he tossed two scoreless innings both before and after that frame. Bumgarner, 7-10 on the year, is now winless in his last six starts, going 0-3 with a 6.17 ERA during that stretch. He'll face the Giants on the road next Thursday in his next scheduled start.

ImpactThe 37-year-old limited the Diamondbacks to a single run through six innings but finally ran into trouble in the seventh, allowing consecutive base hits to open the frame before reliever Jacob Webb served up a three-run homer to Carson Kelly. Still, the end result was Morton's fourth quality start in his last five outings, and his best strikeout total in four September appearances. Morton, who is 13-6 with a 3.53 ERA and 203 strikeouts in 176 innings this season, is slated to face Philadelphia at home next Wednesday.
