Settling down recentlyKremer has allowed four runs on seven hits and five walks while striking out eight over 7.2 innings during three spring starts this year.
ImpactAll four of Kremer's appearances with the Orioles last year came as a starter, and he's worked exclusively as a starter this spring. The right-hander appears to be building up for a rotation role to begin the regular season, but manager Brandon Hyde hasn't yet indicated which pitchers will serve as starters early in the season. Hyde has said that the team has "10-to-12" pitchers who could serve as starters, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports. Kremer will start Friday's Grapefruit League game and could have one or two more spring appearances before presumably beginning the year as part of the starting rotation.

May not see game action this springSoroka (Achilles) continues to "check all the boxes" in his recovery, per Atlanta manager Brian Snitker, but the team has yet to decide whether he'll make a Grapefruit League appea...
ImpactThe right-hander is being brought along slowly after undergoing surgery to repair his torn Achilles tendon last August, as the Braves don't want to take any chances with a player expected to be one of their rotation pillars for many years to come. No timetable has been revealed for when the club expects Soroka to join the rotation, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him miss the first month of the regular season.

Goes yard WednesdayAlbies hit his second home run of the spring during Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Orioles.
ImpactThe second baseman missed a bit of time with a sore neck, but Albies is otherwise enjoying a solid spring, going 6-for-21 (.286) with a 3:6 BB:K. Still only 24 years old, he'll head into the regular season looking to regain or even top the form that saw him pile up 24 homers, 15 steals and an .852 OPS in 2019 after a wrist issue derailed his 2020 campaign.

Velocity good this springMorton sat 93-95 mph with his fastball during Wednesday's Grapefruit League game against the Orioles, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports. "In spring training last year, I don't know if...
ImpactThe veteran right-hander didn't have his typical fastball velocity until September last year, so it's very encouraging to see that he should head into Opening Day already firing his usual heat. Morton built up to 4.1 innings Wednesday, and he has a 0.00 ERA and 7:2 K:BB through 7.1 frames this spring.
