ImpactYnoa was scheduled to begin his rehab assignment Tuesday but instead threw a simulated game since the game was postponed. The right-hander will continue buidling up as a starter on the rehab stint, but Atlanta could also change course and bring him back sooner as a reliever.

Jerad Eickhoff - DFA'd again by MetsEickhoff was designated for assignment by the Mets on Wednesday, Tim Britton of The Athletic reports.

ImpactThe right-hander was tagged for 10 runs over 3.1 innings during Tuesday's start, and he's now been DFA'd by New York for the third time this month. Even before Tuesday's rough outing, Eickhoff had a 4.96 ERA and 1.71 WHIP across 16.1 innings this season.

Akeem Bostick - Getting first big-league call-upThe Mets will select Bostick's contract from Triple-A Syracuse ahead of Wednesday's game against Atlanta, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

ImpactNew York will need to open up spots on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster for Bostick, and they'll presumably do that by designating Jerad Eickhoff for assignment for the third time this season after he was rocked for 10 runs across 3.1 innings in Tuesday's 12-5 loss. Due to the short start from Eickhoff and a doubleheader two days earlier, the Mets' bullpen has been overworked of late, so Bostick should give the team some much-needed length in relief. The 26-year-old has typically served as a starter for Syracuse this season, posting a 6.21 ERA and 1.77 WHIP across 37.2 innings over his 10 appearances.

Jonathan Villar - Looks like Lindor's replacementVillar will start at shortstop and bat seventh Wednesday against Atlanta, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

ImpactJeff McNeil's recent return from a four-game absence leaves Francisco Lindor (oblique) as the only Mets regular on the shelf, and Villar appears to have won out over Luis Guillorme for the right to replace the four-time All-Star. While Guillorme's superior glove should still earn him at least a couple of starts per week, Villar will handle shortstop duties for the fifth time in six games. Villar has gotten off to a slow start at the plate to begin the second half, posting a .581 OPS while striking out in 27.5 percent of his plate appearances since the All-Star break.
