ImpactMcLoughlin will take the next step in his professional journey after he produced a 2.08 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with 35 strikeouts over 30.1 innings in 25 appearances with Double-A Binghamton this season. The 25-year-old will look to impress with Syracuse in order to potentially make his major-league debut down the road this year or in 2025.

David Peterson - Allows four runs in defeatPeterson (5-1) was saddled with the loss Sunday, allowing four runs on four hits and three walks over five innings against Atlanta. He struck out seven.
ImpactPeterson faced just one batter over the minimum through three but allowed six of the first seven batters to reach base during a four-run fourth inning that led to Peterson taking his first loss of the season. It's only the second time in 10 starts Peterson has allowed more than two earned runs. He'll carry a 3.52 ERA and 1.47 WHIP into his next start, scheduled to take place in Anaheim against the Angels.
