Outrighted to Triple-A Adams (forearm) cleared waivers Thursday and was sent outright to Triple-A Las Vegas.

Impact Adams turned in a 3.92 ERA and 1.48 WHIP across 41.1 innings in 2024, but forearm tendinitis has kept him out of action since mid-August. It's unclear if the 33-year-old will be ready for the start of spring training, but he'll now have to re-earn a spot on the 40-man roster whenever he's able to return.

Impact Adams saw a planned rehab assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas scuttled due to the setback, and he'd been sent back to Oakland for an evaluation. However, as of Monday, that testing had yet to occur, casting further doubt on the veteran reliever's chances of returning before the end of the regular season.

Impact The right-hander has been on the shelf for just over two weeks, having hit the IL on Aug. 18.
