Red Sox activate Lucas Sims, option Bailey Horn to Triple-A The Red Sox activated one of their two bullpen additions from the trade deadline ahead of Thursday’s finale against the Rays.
Sent to Worcester The Red Sox optioned Horn to Triple-A Worcester on Thursday, Christopher Smith of MassLive.com reports.
Impact Just five days after being recalled to the big-league club, Horn will return to Triple-A to make room for Lucas Sims (lat), who was activated from the injured list in a corresponding move. Horn made three appearances during is latest stint in the majors, allowing one run on two hits and three walks across one inning.

Recalled from Worcester The Red Sox recalled Horn from Triple-A Worcester on Saturday, Julian McWilliams of The Boston Globe reports.
Impact Horn has allowed just one earned run over 5.1 innings since being optioned to Triple-A in late August, and he'll now be called upon to give the Red Sox a fresh arm out of the bullpen. Zach Penrod will make the journey to Boston alongside Horn, forcing Zack Kelly and Cam Booser back to the minors.
