Impact Torrens had been designated for assignment by Chicago last week and will now move on to his fifth different organization. The 27-year-old journeyman catcher holds a career .227/.289/.352 batting line in 264 games (799 plate appearances) at the major-league level.

Impact The move clears room on the 40-man roster for Luis Torrens after Torrens was acquired from the Cubs for cash considerations. Krehbiel was relatively effective in the Baltimore bullpen in 2022 with a 3.90 ERA over 57.2 innings over 56 appearances, but he wasn't a part of the Opening Day roster. He's posted a 2.00 ERA over nine innings with Triple-A Norfolk, and a team in need of bullpen help could show interest in the right-hander on the waiver wire or via trade.

Impact McCann collected his first three-hit effort in just his 11th game of the season. He singled home a run in the fourth and would eventually score. The 33-year-old got another base hit in the fifth and in the eighth, raising his slash line to .250/.250/.444 with two homers, five RBI, five runs and a 0:5 BB:K over 36 plate appearances. McCann primarily operates as Adley Rutschman's backup but manager Brandon Hyde has gotten his bat in the lineup as a DH at times, as he did Tuesday. Still, McCann does not get enough opportunities to hold any fantasy relevance.

Impact Rutschman got on in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings and was driven home each time off the bat of Ryan Mountcastle. He picked up his 18th RBI on a double in the sixth and now has tallied three games with at least four hits this season. Tuesday's effort raised his slash line to .315/.429/.47, however, the 25-year-old does not have a home run since April 13. He sits at four on the year and has scored 15 runs to go with a remarkable 23:18 BB:K over 133 plate appearances.

Ryan Mountcastle - Homers twice in win Mountcastle went 3-for-6 with a two home runs, a double, five RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's 11-7 win over the Royals.
Impact Mountcastle kicked off the scoring for the Orioles with a two-run blast to left in the fourth. He followed that up with another two-run shot that traveled 433 feet over the center field wall. Mountcastle would then cap off his excellent day with an RBI double in the sixth. The 26-year-old is now fourth in the majors with 26 RBI and is tied for fourth with eight homers in 29 games thus far. Tuesday's performance raised his slash line to .256/.275/.504 as he's become a valuable fantasy first baseman in his third full-time season.
