Marcos Diplán - Clears waivers The Orioles outrighted Diplan to Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

Impact Diplan will stick in the organization after he went unclaimed upon being exposed to waivers a few days earlier. Prior to being cast off Baltimore's 40-man roster, Diplan made five appearances out of the big-league bullpen this season and gave up an earned run while striking out eight over 5.2 innings.

Travis Lakins Sr. - Goes to 60-day IL The Orioles transferred Lakins (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Sunday.

Impact Lakins has been on the injured list since May 20 and wasn't on track to return before the All-Star break, so the Orioles opted to move him to the 60-day IL in order to free up a spot on the 40-man roster for right-handed reliever Rico Garcia. Though he'll be eligible to return immediately after the All-Star break, Lakins has yet to begin a minor-league rehab assignment, so his absence could end up stretching into August.

Rico Garcia - Added to big-league bullpen The Orioles selected Garcia's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday.

Impact Baltimore cleared room for Garcia on the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster by transferring Travis Lakins (elbow) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL and by optioning Bruce Zimmermann to Triple-A. Garcia previously made two relief appearances for Baltimore this season, but he's otherwise spent most of the season at Norfolk, where he's produced a 3.00 ERA and 1.11 WHIP across 18 innings.

Jorge López - Earns save in close game Lopez picked up the save Saturday against the Angels, striking out two and hitting one batter over a scoreless inning.

Impact Lopez earned his 16th save of the year by closing out the one-run game. He needed 16 pitches to get through the ninth inning. After beginning the month with back-to-back blown saves, Lopez has picked up three saves in his last three appearances, reducing his ERA to 1.74 in the process. Things seem to be moving in the right direction for the righty reliever.

Dean Kremer - Strikes out seven in win Kremer (3-1) earned the win against the Angels on Saturday, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out seven and walking three.

Impact Kremer did well against a potent Angels offense, throwing 58 of 98 pitches for strikes and limiting his opponent to just five baserunners. Aside from his last outing against Texas where he allowed five runs in 4.2 innings, Kremer has pitched well since he was called up on June 5. Saturday's outing was the fourth time in seven games that the righty has not allowed a run. Kremer will take a 2.15 ERA into his next appearance.

Impact Santander was responsible for knocking in the only run of the game Saturday, sending Ryan Mountcastle home in the fourth inning. Impact Mountcastle hit an RBI single and stole second in the eighth inning. He's 2-for-6 with a walk and three RBI in two games since returning from a sinus issue. The 25-year-old owns a .278/.316/.495 slash line with 14 home runs, four steals, 43 RBI, 35 runs scored and 19 doubles through 301 plate appearances. He should continue to see regular time at first base while routinely hitting in the heart of the order.

Impact Odor wasn't in the lineup for Friday's matchup, but he entered the game as a defensive replacement in the top of the eighth inning. He recorded a single with two outs in the bottom of the ninth and proceeded to steal two bases to help the Orioles secure a comeback win. He's recorded hits in five of his last seven games and has hit .304 with two homers, two doubles, four runs, two RBI and three stolen bases during that time.
