Edwin Ríos - Activated, optioned to Triple-AThe Cubs reinstated Rios (groin) off the 10-day injured list Saturday and optioned him to Triple-A Iowa, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.
ImpactRios has struggled mightily in the majors this season, slashing just .071/.235/.214 across 34 plate appearances. His OPS jumps up to .781 in Triple-A, but it's unlikely he gets many more opportunities in the big leagues unless he shows improvement in the minors.

Terrin Vavra - Lands on minor-league ILVavra (shoulder) was placed on Triple-A Norfolk's 7-day injured list Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ImpactVavra suffered a right shoulder strain and will be sidelined at least a week. His injury leaves the Orioles with one less option available should they need an extra position player in the majors. Vavra went 9-for-21 (.429) with three extra-base hits and a stolen base over five games following his demotion June 6.
