Heston Kjerstad - Homers in Sunday's winKjerstad hit a solo home run in his lone at-bat in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Twins.

ImpactKjerstad was a defensive replacement in right field and went yard when he came to the plate in the eighth inning. After returning from a concussion in mid-September, he went 7-for-30 (.233) over his last 11 contests of the season. Kjerstad finished the regular season with a .253/.351/.394 slash line, four homers, 14 RBI, eight runs scored and one stolen base over 114 plate appearances. If he makes the Orioles' postseason roster, he'll likely be a bench option.

James McCann - Blasts three-run homerMcCann went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Sunday against the Twins.

ImpactMcCann's eighth blast of the season was a three-run shot that provided the game-winning runs for the Orioles. Over his final 14 games spanning 49 at-bats, McCann contributed a .265 average with five homers and 15 RBI. He'll continue to play a key role off the bench for the Orioles as they begin their postseason push on Tuesday at home against the Royals.

Bailey Ober - Loses three of final four startsOber (12-9) was saddled with the loss Sunday, allowing three runs on five hits over five innings against the Orioles. He struck out four.

ImpactOber held the Orioles off the board through four innings but yielded a three-run blast to James McCann with one out in the fifth that spoiled a two-run lead and led to Ober's ninth loss of the season. Ober ended the season on a bit of a sour note, losing three of his last four starts while compiling a 5.32 ERA over 23.2 innings. However, Ober finished a quality 2024 with 12 wins, 191 strikeouts over 178.2 innings and was fifth in the majors with a 1.00 WHIP, making his final ERA of 3.98 feel a bit unlucky.

Albert Suárez - Quality start sets up ninth winSuarez (9-7) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk over six innings against the Twins. He struck out four.

ImpactSuarez closed out his 2024 campaign with a quality start, allowing a couple of solo homers but limiting the Twins to just three additional baserunners as he held on for his ninth victory of the season. It was a nice bounce back for Suarez who had allowed eight earned runs over his previous two starts spanning 8.2 innings. However, after having allowed just eight home runs through his first 27 appearances (109 IP), Suarez has allowed nine over his last five starts (24.2 IP). The propensity for giving up the long ball will be a concern as the Orioles set their postseason rotation.
