ImpactThe veteran suffered the injury on a swing Sunday. He doesn't appear to be seriously hurt, but the Mariners have no reason not to be cautious with him this early in the spring. Even if fully healthy, however, there's no guarantee Davis will play a significant role this season, as the Orioles aren't likely to give many at-bats to a 35-year-old player who's hit just .169/.251/.299 over the last three years.

Slated to pitch WednesdayOrioles manager Brandon Hyde said Tate (finger) will make his Grapefruit League debut in Wednesday's game against Atlanta, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ImpactTate finished the 2020 campaign on the injured list with a sprained finger on his throwing hand, but he doesn't appear to be facing any limitations thus far in spring training. He'll presumably be asked to cover an inning of relief in his first outing of the Grapefruit League slate.
