Oliver Drake - Still not particularly closeDrake (elbow) hasn't experienced any setbacks, but he still has "got some time to wait" before starting a rehab assignment, the team's official site reports.
ImpactThe characterization of Drake's timeline comes directly from manager Kevin Cash, so it would seem the veteran reliever is still a few weeks away from being deemed ready for activation. Drake has been throwing bullpen sessions intermittently since mid-May, and he could progress to facing live hitters before the end of June.

Yandy Díaz - Takes seat MondayDiaz isn't in the lineup Monday against the White Sox, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
ImpactDiaz will get a breather after he went just 1-for-11 with a run, an RBI, three walks and five strikeouts across the last three games. Ji-Man Choi will start at first base and bat third.

Mike Brosseau - Optioned to Triple-ABrosseau was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Monday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
ImpactBrosseau had started in four of the last five games, and he went 3-for-13 with a double, two RBI and two strikeouts during that time. He'll now head to the minors after Ji-Man Choi (groin) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Ji-Man Choi - Reinstated from injured listChoi (groin) was reinstated from the 10-day injured list Monday, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.
ImpactChoi recently appeared in two games at extended spring training, and manager Kevin Cash was impressed with the first baseman's progress. He had been on the injured list since June 2 but will return to action after spending just over the minimum amount of time on the shelf. Mike Brosseau was sent down in a corresponding move.

Yusniel Diaz - Ready for rehab assignmentDiaz (quadriceps) is slated to begin a rehab assignment at Double-A Bowie this week, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
ImpactDiaz will presumably appear in a handful of contests for Bowie this week, and if his right quad responds well to game action, Triple-A Norfolk will reinstate him from its 7-day injured list. Before landing on the shelf in early May, Diaz appeared in six games for Norfolk and went 5-for-25 with a home run and six RBI.

Matt Wisler - Grabs hold in team debutWisler secured his first hold in a win over the Orioles on Sunday, firing a perfect seventh inning during which he recorded a strikeout.
ImpactWisler got eight of an efficient 12 pitches into the strike zone during his Rays debut, which was a welcome change from the the struggles that had led to a 6.05 ERA across 19.1 innings with the Giants before Friday's trade. The veteran swingman sports the type of versatile profile that could make him a natural fit for a team that's known to be creative with how it deploys pitchers capable of working multiple innings.
