Jumps to 40-man roster Sousa had his contract selected by the White Sox on Friday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Impact Sousa was a member of Chicago's 60-man player pool for the 2020 campaign but never saw big-league action. The left-hander split last season between Double-A and Triple-A, and he pitched well at both levels with combined 3.61 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 71:20 K:BB over 47.1 innings. He'll have an outside chance at a spot on the Opening Day roster with a strong showing in spring training.
