Impact In addition to representing a lefty-hitting option in the corner outfield, McKinney is one of a slew of players who will likely be part of the Athletics' patchwork approach to the first base position following the trade of Matt Olson to Atlanta earlier in the spring. McKinney possesses decent on-base skills and a modicum of pop, but a dearth of speed and a career .215 average in the big leagues make him a rather low-ceiling fantasy option even if he were to find his way into a full-time role.

While he's landed in an organization where at-bats should be comparatively easy to come by, it's still tough to see him carving out an everyday role.
