Impact Gasper will serve as the roster replacement for Rafael Devers (shoulder), who landed on the 10-day IL on Saturday. The former has spent the majority of the season in the minors, slashing an impressive .328/.439/.531 with 12 homers and 58 RBI across 380 plate appearances between Double-A and Triple-A, though he doesn't project to see much playing time while in Boston.

Rafael Devers - Lands on injured list The Red Sox placed Devers on the 10-day injured list Saturday with left shoulder inflammation, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
Impact Devers received an MRI on both of his shoulders Saturday and will officially land on the IL with a left shoulder issue, even though manager Alex Cora said Friday that the third baseman's right shoulder was the main concern. Either way, his move to the injured list will officially put an early end to his season. Romy Gonzalez and Nick Sogard will split reps at third base the rest of the way, and Mickey Gasper will come up from Triple-A Worcester to fill the open spot on the active roster.

Impact Garcia has been held out of action since late August due to inflammation in his right elbow, but he's now been cleared to return after throwing a scoreless inning during a rehab appearance in Triple-A on Tuesday. The 37-year-old reliever has allowed 13 earned runs in just 11.1 innings since joining the Red Sox, and he'll most likely work in middle relief during the final stretch. Cooper Criswell was optioned to Worcester in a corresponding move.

Impact Duran walked and stole second base in the third inning before singling and swiping another bag in the ninth. He had gone 26 straight games without a stolen base before Friday but he's now up to 34 steals in 41 attempts this season. Duran owns an .837 OPS with 79 extra-base hits this season but he's struggled in September with a .519 OPS through 18 appearances.

Impact Fitts worked around a few tight spots to keep the Twins off the board and was in line for the win when he exited the game. The 24-year-old rookie has delivered 15.2 shutout innings in his first three career MLB starts. However, that comes with a lackluster 7:5 K:BB. On the bright side, he generated eight whiffs Friday after totaling just seven in his first two starts. Fitts is currently lined up for a start in Toronto next week.

Impact Jansen was said to be dealing with a shoulder issue earlier in the week, but he was available in his normal spot Friday and ended up retiring the side on 11 pitches (nine strikes). While the veteran's command and velocity have both been affected by the shoulder recently, there has been nothing to suggest the team will need to shut him down early, though that's not completely out of the question with Boston's playoff chances dwindling. Jansen is a free agent this winter.
