ImpactDominguez allowed a solo home run to Rob Refsnyder in the ninth but was otherwise excellent, escaping a bases loaded jam in the eighth and striking out three batters in the ninth inning. With incumbent closer Craig Kimbrel allowing earned runs in back-to-back appearances, manager Brandon Hyde appears to have turned over the closer role to the newly-acquired Dominguez. The 29-year-old Dominguez has been superb since coming over from Philadelphia on July 26, converting all three of his save chances while logging a robust 1.74 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB in 10.1 innings.

Albert Suárez - Earns win with six scorelessSuarez (6-4) pitched six scoreless innings to earn the win Sunday against Boston, allowing seven hits and zero walks while striking out six.
ImpactSuarez was excellent Sunday, scattering seven hits (all singles) to notch his fourth quality start of the season. Suarez has been excellent since filling Grayson Rodriguez's (lat) spot in the rotation on August 6, firing 17.2 scoreless innings in three starts. The 34-year-old now sports a 3.18 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 78:33 K:BB in 96.1 innings (17 starts) this season. He is tentatively scheduled to face the Astros next weekend.

ImpactCrawford pitched well Sunday, throwing just 75 pitches while limiting the potent Orioles offense to just two hits. Unfortunately for Crawford, one of those hits was a solo home run by Adley Rutschman in the fifth, breaking the scoreless tie. Home runs have been a recurring issue for Crawford, who has surrendered a whopping 14 long balls in 29.1 innings since the All-Star break. The right-hander now owns a 4.25 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 133:36 K:BB in 142 innings (25 starts) this season. He lines up to face the Diamondbacks next weekend.
