ImpactSmyly progressed to facing live hitters Tuesday, and he threw a successful bullpen session Friday. The southpaw will may require multiple appearances in the minors prior to rejoining the Cubs, but his rehab assignment should be the final step in his recovery process.

ImpactEovaldi landed on the 15-day injured list with lower back inflammation June 12 and was initially optimistic that he'd require a minimal absence. Although he made slow progress early in his recovery, he's thrown two bullpen sessions in the last four days and should continue to ramp up his workload in the near future. It's not yet clear when he'll be cleared to return or whether he'll require a rehab assignment.

ImpactSuzuki began a rehab assignment at Triple-A Iowa on Thursday and has gone 3-for-6 with a homer, a double, two runs and two RBI in the minors. He'll reclaim his spot as the primary right fielder once he's ultimately activated. Prior to his absence, the 27-year-old slashed .245/.344/.432 with four homers, 21 RBI, 20 runs and three stolen bases.
