Earns rare win FridayDayton (1-0) tossed one scoreless inning Friday as he earned the win against the Mets. He allowed one hit and no walks while striking out two.
ImpactDayton was called on in the eighth inning Friday with Atlanta trailing by four runs, but he was able to pick up his second win over the past four seasons after the Braves plated five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. The 32-year-old likely won't be utilized in many high-leverage situations this year despite his rare win against the Mets.

Charged with loss FridayLugo (1-1) allowed one run on one hit and one walk while failing to record a strikeout over 0.2 innings as he was charged with the loss Friday against Atlanta.
ImpactLugo was called on in a jam in the bottom of the eighth inning Friday and nearly got the Mets out of it, but he allowed a two-run double to Travis d'Arnaud that brought in two runs and put the 30-year-old in line for the loss and the blown save. Despite Friday's loss, the righty still carries fantasy upside as he's in the conversation to take over closing duties for the Mets once again this year.

Another short outing FridayPorcello allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks while striking out five over four innings in Friday's loss to Atlanta. He didn't factor into the decision.
ImpactPorcello posted a career-worst 5.52 ERA with the Red Sox last season and hasn't been able to stifle run production in either of his first two starts of this season. The right-hander was slightly more effective Friday and was able to finish with a no-decision in the high-scoring contest. The 31-year-old will attempt to turn things around on the road Wednesday against the Nationals.

Earns win in 2020 debutMontgomery (1-0) allowed one run on five hits and one walk while striking out four over 5.2 innings as he earned the win Friday against the Red Sox.
ImpactAfter beginning the season at the alternate training site, Montgomery was sharp in his first start of 2020 against the Red Sox, allowing just one run in the third inning. The bullpen locked the game down following his departure, which allowed the southpaw to pick up a win in his first major-league appearance of 2020. Montgomery's next start should come Wednesday in Baltimore.
