ImpactBazardo left his outing for Triple-A Worcester with the injury. Further tests revealed a fairly serious issue, so he'll be shut down for an extended period and will then have to build his arm strength back up. His return to action remains unclear.

ImpactSale's recovery from Tommy John surgery hit a trio of snags over the winter, as he dealt with neck stiffness, a minor back issue and COVID-19. None of the issues were arm-related, however, so the ultimate impact on his return timeline may not wind up being particularly significant. The Red Sox have yet to announce when they expect him to return, however.

Matt Moore - Out with back spasmsMoore was placed on the 10-day injured list with lower-back spasms Saturday.
ImpactMoore won a spot in the Opening Day rotation but struggled to a 9.82 ERA and 2.36 WHIP over three starts before landing on the COVID-19 injured list in mid-April. He was decent enough in six relief appearances since his return to action, allowing three earned runs in 7.1 frames, but he'll now head back to the injured list. Spencer Howard was recalled in a corresponding move and will have the chance to establish himself in the rotation, which could push Moore even further from a fantasy-relevant role.
