He slashed .371/.447/.8666 with 13 homers, 32 RBI, 24 runs and three stolen bases over 25 games at the Triple-A level last year, and he'll be a candidate to be called up if the Padres need additional depth at some point this year.

Scratched due to illness Dixon has been scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's Cactus League game against the Reds due to an illness.
Impact He was scheduled to start at third base and hit sixth, but the Padres will now turn to Matthew Batten to man the hot corner. Dixon should be considered day-to-day moving forward.
