Back in action Drury (Achilles) will return to the lineup Thursday against Arizona, batting second and playing third base, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Impact Drury was scratched from Wednesday's lineup with right Achilles soreness, but the problem evidently wasn't a particularly significant one. He'll hope to recapture the form he showed immediately prior to the injury, when he hit .444 with three homers in his first seven games in June.

Scratched with Achilles issue Drury was scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Reds due to right Achilles soreness, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Impact Drury is in the midst of a seven-game hit streak during which he has a .444/.464/.778 OPS with three home runs, and it's unclear when the Achilles issue first surfaced. Alejo Lopez will enter the lineup in his place and start at the keystone, pushing Matt Reynolds to third base.

Flashes power again Tuesday Drury went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 14-8 win over the Diamondbacks.

Impact The long ball was Drury's third in four games, bringing his season total up to 11. The 29-year-old journeyman has paired his power with a decent bat-to-ball skills (.266 average, 21.6 K%), making him a nice find on the waiver wire for fantasy managers who scooped him up earlier in the season. Jonathan India (hamstring) began a rehab assignment Tuesday and should be back from the injured list within the next two weeks, but Matt Reynolds rather than Drury looks to be the Reds infielder most likely to lose out on an everyday role.

Impact Drury set the tone early with his solo shot off of Madison Bumgarner in the first inning. He then singled and scored again in the seventh. The 29-year-old has produced five multi-hit efforts in his last six games, raising his season slash line to .263/.324/.497. Drury is hitting .279 with seven long balls and 28 runs scored since the start of May.

Impact The steal was his first of the year but the homer was his ninth, as Drury took Nats closer Tanner Rainey deep in the ninth inning. The veteran utility player has three multi-hit performances in the last four games, but on the season Drury is slashing a less electric .252/.317/.479 slash line with 27 RBI and 31 runs through 44 contests.

Two hits with three-run homer Drury went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run in Monday's win over the Brewers.

Impact Drury singled in the third inning before launching a three-run homer off Brandon Woodruff in the bottom of the fifth frame. The 29-year-old notched multiple hits for the third time in four games and extended his hit streak to six games Monday. Over that six game stretch, Drury has produced 10 hits including two long balls while collecting 10 RBI and scoring seven runs over 25 at-bats. After signing with the Reds in the offseason, he's batting .284 with six homers and 18 RBI over 24 games this season.
