Homers in loss Turang went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-2 loss to Atlanta.
Impact Turang has seen fairly steady playing time since the All-Star break, but he's gone just 4-for-24 (.167) over his last nine games. His homer Sunday was his first extra-base hit in that span. For the season, he's slashing .203/.272/.313 with four homers, 20 RBI, 20 runs scored and 11 stolen bases through 250 plate appearances. Turang appears to have at least a strong-side platoon role at second base, and he should remain in the lineup regularly while Owen Miller and Andruw Monasterio cover the corner infield spots with Rowdy Tellez (forearm) and Brian Anderson (back) sidelined.

Impact Turang laced a triple to right in the fourth but was left stranded and later provided a clutch RBI single in the eighth to tie the game up at three. Tuesday's effort was Turang's first time with a hit since May 27, which also was coincidentally the last time he's tallied an extra-base knock as well. The growing pains have been very apparent for the 23-year-old rookie, as he had tallied just one hit over his last 41 at-bats before his triple. Goes yard Sunday Turang went 1-for-3 with a three-run homer in Sunday's 9-6 win over the Royals.
Impact Turang took Jose Cuas deep to center in the third to cap off a seven-run inning by the Brewers. The long ball was his third of the year and just his first since April 17. Turang has picked it up some at the plate after he was slumping for a good majority of April. Over 11 games in May, he's slashing .313/.371/.438 with three RBI, five runs and a 3:10 BB:K. The 23-year-old has seen the majority of his starts come against right-handers while Owen Miller has stepped in to fill in against lefties.
