CF job remains open De La Cruz will continue to get a look in center field for the Marlins, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports. Impact Center field has been the biggest hole Miami general manager Kim Ng has been looking to fill this offseason, but Saturday's signing of Jorge Soler may be the last big-name player the team brings in, leaving internal options to compete for the CF job. De La Cruz played all three outfield spots last season, slashing .296/.356/.427 in 58 games for the Marlins, and the club would like to give the 25-year-old a chance to prove that production wasn't a small-sample fluke. Avisail Garcia and Jesus Sanchez could also get looks this spring in center but might be better fits in the outfield corners, while non-roster invitees Roman Quinn and Delino DeShields will also see some action as manager Don Mattingly sorts through his options.
