Impact Pittsburgh was shut out by Jameson Taillon through seven frames before Reynolds turned the tide of the contest in the eighth with a three-run homer off reliever Jorge Lopez to knot the score. The long ball was his 21st of the season, moving him to within five homers of reaching the career-high mark of 27 he set in 2022. Reynolds has gone deep three times in his past seven games and is batting .333 (9-for-27) with six RBI, five walks and two stolen bases over that span.

Impact Reynolds was the only Pirate to have multiple hits as well as an extra base hit in Tuesday's shutout loss. His eighth inning double was his first extra base hit since Aug. 4. He's been one of the few consistent hitters in the lineup over the course of the season and has been hitting exceptionally well over this last month. Since July 13, Reynolds is slashing .353/.433/.471 with two homers, 13 RBI and 12 runs. For the year, the 29-year-old All-Star is slashing .288/.355/.473 with 19 homers, 69 RBI, 54 runs, six steals and a 43:114 BB:K in 516 plate appearances.
