Impact Carrasco showed an unusual lack of control, but the Nationals' offense wasn't able to punish him for it. This was the right-hander's fifth win in his last six starts since the beginning of May, though he hasn't completed six innings in his last four outings. He's at a 3.63 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 51:13 K:BB through 57 innings in 10 starts overall. Carrasco projects for a tougher road start versus the Padres next week.

Impact The veteran right-hander took a shutout into the sixth inning after being staked to an early 7-0 lead, but Carrasco nearly squandered it in a disastrous sixth. He got the hook after 85 pitches (59 strikes), and he's now failed to last a full six innings in three straight starts. Carrasco will carry a 3.98 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 46:8 K:BB into his next outing.

Impact Carrasco logged quality starts in his last two outings, allowing just two runs in 14.2 innings during that time.
