Sent to Triple-A The Tigers optioned Lee to Triple-A Toledo on Sunday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Impact Lee will unsurprisingly begin the season at Toledo after being added to the Tigers' 40-man roster in November. The 26-year-old made 17 appearances with the affiliate last year and had a 3.27 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 31:4 K:BB across 22 innings.

Protected from Rule 5 Draft The Tigers selected Lee from Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday.

Impact Lee started the 2024 season in Triple-A Round Rock in the Rangers organization before being traded to the Tigers at the end of July. With Triple-A Toledo, the righty posted a 3.27 ERA and 1.23 WHIP across 22 innings in 17 games. The 26-year-old is now protected from the Rule 5 Draft in December.

Lands with Tigers The Tigers acquired Lee and Joseph Montalvo from the Rangers on Tuesday in exchange for Andrew Chafin, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Impact Lee has missed much of 2024 due to injury but has looked like a potential late-inning relief arm when healthy. He holds a 4.19 ERA and 139:46 K:BB over 105.1 innings during his time at the Triple-A level.
