Undergoes successful surgery Roe underwent successful surgery to address a posterior labrum tear in his right shoulder Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Impact Roe made just one appearance this year before he was placed on the 10-day injured list in early April, and he recently suffered a setback in his recovery. Manager Kevin Cash said prior to the surgery that the hope is that the right-hander will be able to return to the majors in 2022.

Suffers setback in rehab Roe was removed from his rehab outing with Triple-A Durham on Thursday because of right shoulder discomfort and biceps tendinitis, Neil Solondz of the Rays Radio Network reports.

Impact Per Solondz, manager Kevin Cash said Roe will likely be shut down 7-10 days before he starts to get built back up.
