Exam shows no serious issuesRobert (abdomen) is still experiencing some discomfort but an examination revealed no serious issues, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
ImpactThe White Sox have every reason to treat Robert with caution after he was scratched Monday with an abdominal strain. He may sit for a few more spring games, but it doesn't look as though his readiness for Opening Day will be seriously threatened.

Joins White SoxThe White Sox signed Hamilton to a minor-league contract Tuesday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
ImpactAfter being cut loose by Cleveland over the weekend, Hamilton will now move on to the third AL Central organization of his career (having also played for the Royals in 2019). Hamilton's deal includes an invitation to big-league camp, where he'll be evaluated for a potential role as a reserve outfielder on Chicago's Opening Day roster. Even if he does break camp with the White Sox, Hamilton is unlikely to see consistent enough playing time to deliver useful stolen-base production for fantasy managers.

Back in lineupMadrigal (shoulder) will start at second base and will bat second in Tuesday's Cactus League game against the Padres.
ImpactAfter completing his recovery from the left shoulder surgery he required last October, Madrigal was cleared to make his spring debut March 8. The White Sox then held him out for the next week of games after he experienced some residual soreness in the shoulder, but Madrigal looks to be good to go after the extended rest period. Opening Day is still two weeks away, so Madrigal still has sufficient time to get ramped up for the start of the season.
