John Schreiber - Likely headed for ILRoyals general manager J.J. Picollo said Monday that Schreiber (knee) is likely to be placed on the 15-day injured list, Joel Goldberg of Bally Sports Kansas City reports.
ImpactThe Royals haven't provided an updated diagnosis for Schreiber after he was forced out of his relief appearance in Sunday's 7-3 loss to the Cubs with right knee patella tendon discomfort, but the team has apparently already deduced that the right-handed reliever is dealing with more than a day-to-day concern. Schreiber could cede his spot on the Royals' 26-man active roster to right-hander Michael Lorenzen, whom Kansas City acquired from Texas earlier Monday.
