Robert Hassell - Heading to Triple-AThe Nationals promoted Hassell from Double-A Harrisburg to Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
ImpactHassell missed nearly two months of action earlier this summer with a right hand injury and had struggled to shake off the rust upon returning from Harrisburg's injured list Aug. 20. Though he slashed just .238/.306/.381 with two home runs and one stolen base in 11 games following his return to the Double-A lineup, Hassell will nonetheless be awarded his first promotion to the Triple-A level for the final three weeks of the season. Rochester likely had an opening in its everyday outfield for Hassell after the Nationals recently calling up prospects Dylan Crews and Darren Baker from Triple-A.

Derek Law - Activated from injured listThe Nationals activated Law (elbow) from the 15-day injured list Monday, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
ImpactLaw has been shelved since mid-August with ulnar nerve irritation in his pitching elbow but recently faced hitters with no issues, clearing the way for his return. The veteran reliever will return to a middle relief role for the Nationals.

Colten Brewer - Starts up rehab assignmentBrewer (hand) began a rehab assignment Saturday at Triple-A Iowa and struck out one batter over a perfect inning.
ImpactAfter tossing 17 pitches in a game at the Cubs' complex in Arizona on Tuesday, Brewer got his rehab assignment formally underway over the weekend. The 31-year-old has been on the injured list since July 7 with a fractured left hand, so he'll likely need at least a couple more outings in the minors to iron out some kinks before the Cubs activate him.

Pete Crow-Armstrong - Records three more hits SundayCrow-Armstrong went 3-for-5 with two runs scored in Sunday's 14-1 win over the Nationals.
ImpactCrow-Armstrong had a four-hit effort back on Wednesday and added another effective performance to his sheet Sunday. He now has five multi-hit games over his last 10 contests, during which he's batting .410. Crow-Armstrong is known for his excellent speed with 26 stolen bases this year in 27 attempts, and if he can stay hot at the plate, he should be able to run wild during the last full month of the regular season.
