Impact Ramos was the biggest bright spot in another loss for Chicago, as he swatted a two-run shot to left field in the eighth inning for his first major-league home run. The 22-year-old had been finding big-league pitching hard to figure out prior to Monday, as he was batting just .196 with one walk over 48 plate appearances. Ramos has some pop -- he went deep as many as 22 times in a season (2022) in the minors -- and he could get some increased run down the stretch with the White Sox understandably looking ahead to the future.

Impact The only runs allowed by Flexen came on a pair of solo home runs -- a second-inning blast by Conor Wong and a Wilyer Abreu longball in the sixth. Flexen has now recorded quality starts in three of his last four appearances, logging a respectable 4.15 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 20:7 K:BB in 21.2 innings during that stretch.
