Gavin Sheets - Out for nightcap of doubleheader Sheets is out of the lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Guardians.

Impact Cleveland is bringing a southpaw (Konnor Pilkington) to the hill for the nightcap, so the lefty-hitting Sheets will cede his spot in the outfield to the righty-hitting AJ Pollock. Sheets, who went hitless in three at-bats in the White Sox's 4-1 loss in the early game, looks like he'll occupy the larger side of a platoon moving forward.

Oscar Colas - Bumped up to Double-A The White Sox promoted Colas from High-A Winston-Salem to Double-A Birmingham on Tuesday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Impact Colas will get a few games under his belt at Double-A prior to the All-Star break before likely spending most of the second half of the minor-league season in Birmingham. The 23-year-old outfielder from Cuba, who signed a $2.7 million deal with the White Sox in January, hit .311 with 23 extra-base hits in 268 plate appearances for Winston-Salem.

Impact Garcia will retreat to the bench for the front end of the twin bill after he started each of the White Sox's last four games while going 5-for-14 with three runs scored. Over the weekend, manager Tony La Russa said that Tim Anderson would be a candidate to sit for one game of the doubleheader, and since Anderson is in the lineup for Game 1, he could find himself on the bench for the nightcap. Impact Moncada took Cal Quantrill yard in the third inning to record his fourth home run of the season.
