Impact Moncada appeared to be walking gingerly after fouling a ball off his right foot in the fourth inning Wednesday and was ultimately replaced defensively in the top of the seventh. However, he underwent X-rays that came back negative, so he's considered day-to-day. If the 27-year-old misses additional time, Josh Harrison and Leury Garcia should see increased looks at the hot corner.

Impact Burger had lost out on playing time recently following Yoan Moncada's return from the IL, and he's now dealing with a hand injury that will force him to miss at least a week and a half. It's not yet clear when the 26-year-old will return to action, but he'll be eligible to be activated shortly before the All-Star break. Since he hadn't started in any of the eight games prior to landing on the injured list, he isn't guaranteed a spot on the active roster once he's deemed fully healthy.

AJ Pollock - Sits in Jimenez's return Pollock is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Impact With slugger Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) making his return from the 60-day injured list as the White Sox's starting left fielder, the righty-hitting Pollock could have to settle for short-side platoon work at the other corner-outfield spot with the lefty-hitting Gavin Sheets. Though Sheets has a more limited track record at the MLB level, he's turned in a .937 OPS over his last 10 games to make a case for playing regularly versus right-handed pitching. Meanwhile, Pollock hasn't got going at the plate at any point this season, and after back-to-back 1-for-4, two-strikeouts performances in the first two games of the series with Minnesota, he's holding down a lowly .242/.278/.359 slash line on the campaign. Pollock should still see occasional starts against right-handed pitching when the White Sox rest some of their other regulars, but his outlook appears to be most negatively affected by Jimenez's return.

Impact Lambert will return to the big leagues just two days after being optioned back to Triple-A, as Vince Velasquez (finger) was placed on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move. The reliever owns a 3.45 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with 13 strikeouts over 15.2 innings in nine appearances with the White Sox this season.

Impact Jimenez concluded his rehab assignment at Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, but the White Sox waited an additional day before activating him. He's starting in left field and batting sixth during Wednesday's series finale against the Twins, but it's possible that the team gives him some additional looks as the designated hitter in the near future following his lengthy absence. Regardless of his position, the 25-year-old should see plenty of playing time. Over 11 games prior to sustaining his hamstring injury, he slashed .222/.256/.333 with a homer, seven RBI and two runs.

Michael Kopech - Surrenders six runs in loss Kopech (2-6) took the loss during Tuesday's 8-2 defeat at the hands of the Twins, allowing six runs on eight hits and four walks with five strikeouts in 4.2 innings.
Impact Kopech escaped a bases-loaded jam in the first inning and fired a scoreless second, but it was all downhill from there.
