Impact Cueto was plagued by the long ball in the third inning, allowing solo home runs to Andrew Velazquez, Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani. The White Sox's offense came to life in the fifth, and Cueto was able to avoid any further damage to pick up his second win of the year. Both of his victories have come in his last three starts. Impact Hendriks felt good after a bullpen session Monday and will now progress to facing live hitters for the first time since landing on the injured list two weeks ago. Manager Tony La Russa hopes the right-hander will be able to be activated during the White Sox's upcoming homestand, which begins Monday against the Twins. In the meantime, Kendall Graveman should continue to fill in as Chicago's closer.

Impact After getting his first big-league call-up last Thursday, Sosa started at second base in three of Chicago's subsequent five games and went 1-for-12 with a double, a walk and two runs. Impact Infield prospect Lenyn Sosa was sent back to Triple-A Charlotte to clear room on the 26-man active roster for Moncada, who was sidelined for the minimum amount of time with a right hamstring strain. Moncada should recapture his everyday role at third base, but the 27-year-old has thus far been a major disappointment for those that invested in him in fantasy drafts. In addition to being limited to just 29 games thus far due to injuries, Moncada is hitting .179 with three home runs, no stolen bases, 12 RBI and eight runs across 113 plate appearances.

Andrew Vaughn - Records 13th double Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a double, an RBI and a run scored Monday against the Angels.
Impact Vaughn recorded his 13th double of the season to drive in Tim Anderson in the sixth inning. He came around to score later in the same frame and snapped a three-game hitless streak. Vaughn has been dealing with leg soreness of late, which has limited him to duties as the designated hitter or serving as the White Sox's first baseman. It's possible the soreness has also sapped some of Vaughn's power as the double was his first extra-base hit in his last five starts.

Tim Anderson - Swipes two bags in loss Anderson went 1-for-3 with a walk, a run and two stolen bases in Monday's loss to the Angels.
Impact As usual, Anderson hit atop the lineup and served as an instigator for the White Sox offense. He singled to lead off the fourth and subsequently swiped second and third base, though he was left stranded without crossing the plate. The shortstop then scored Chicago's first run after walking in the sixth inning. Anderson has once again featured as one of the league's best hitters this season, slashing .339/.378/.466 with five homers, 28 runs, 19 RBI and 10 stolen bases over 201 plate appearances. He's on pace for his fourth straight season with a batting average over .300.

Lucas Giolito - Tosses quality start Monday Giolito did not factor in the decision against the Angels on Monday, completing six innings and allowing two runs on six hits and one walk while striking out six.
Impact Giolito had been struggling mightily entering the contest, allowing 30 runs (27 earned) over his previous 25.2 innings. He appeared to straighten things out against the Angels, keeping the ball in the park for the first time over his past six outings and notching a quality start. However, a seventh-inning Los Angeles rally prevented him from snapping a three-game winless streak. Giolito will look to use this strong start to turn things around, as his 5.19 ERA and 1.53 WHIP are significantly worse than his career norms. There are some factors that suggest his numbers are likely to improve, including an excellent 10.6 K/9 and a .360 BABIP that will probably drop.
