Josh Harrison - Tallies three hits Harrison went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Tigers.

Impact Harrison drew a start for the first time in four games, filling in for Leury Garcia at second base. He delivered an RBI single in the third inning and came around to score after another base knock to lead off the fifth frame. Harrison is hitting just .198/.269/.298 for the season and appears to be relegated to a bench role for the time being.

José Abreu - Four-hit effort Abreu went 4-for-5 with a walk, two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored Wednesday against the Tigers.

Impact A significant amount of Abreu's production came with position players on the mound, though he did manage two RBI knocks earlier in the game. The effort also extended Abreu's hitting streak to six contests, during which he's hit .423 with six runs scored and seven RBI. After a slow start, Abreu has an .827 OPS for the season -- in line with his marks from both the 2019 and 2021 campaigns.

AJ Pollock - Raises average to .262 Pollock went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored Wednesday against the Tigers.

Impact Pollock led off for the sixth consecutive game and now has seven consecutive multi-hit efforts. Though he hasn't gone yard in that span, he has three doubles, five RBI and six runs scored while hitting .429. As of June 8, Pollock had a .217 average, but that mark is now .262 across 175 plate appearances on the campaign.

Impact In only his third big-league game of the year, Zavala took Alex Lange deep in the fifth inning for a two-run shot, his first homer with the White Sox in 2022. The 28-year-old backstop has shown plenty of power in his career, slugging 38 homers in 214 career games for Triple-A Charlotte, and with Yasmani Grandal (back) on the shelf Zavala could see consistent work in a timeshare with Reese McGuire.

Yoán Moncada - Breaks out for five hits Moncada went 5-for-6 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and five RBI in Wednesday's 13-0 rout of the Tigers.

Impact It had been just over a month since Moncada had a multi-hit game or a homer, but the 27-year-old accomplished both in a slump-busting performance. In the 22 games since his last productive outing, Moncada had slashed a woeful .115/.159/.141 with only three runs and three RBI. Jake Burger (hand) seemed on the verge of stealing the starting job at third base away until he got hurt, but the competition might have been what Moncada needed to wake up at the plate.

Vince Velasquez - Short outing in return Velasquez didn't factor into the decision in Wednesday's 13-0 romp over the Tigers, giving up only one hit over 2.2 scoreless innings. He struck out three without walking a batter.

Impact The right-hander was dominant the first time through the Detroit order, but that was about as far as Velasquez was allowed to go in his return from a groin injury that had sidelined him since May 24. Including the game against Boston in which he got hurt, he's tossed 5.2 scoreless, one-hit frames with an 8:1 K:BB over his last two appearances, but Velasquez's 4.93 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 36:14 K:BB through 38.1 innings on the season are a better reflection of his reliability.
