Kris Bryant - Will remain in outfieldBryant is expected to remain in the outfield rather than move to third base for the Rockies following Ryan McMahon's shift to second, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
ImpactMost of Bryant's experience is at the hot corner, of course, but the Rockies evidently prefer to keep him on the grass the bulk of the time. It sounds like he could see the occasional start at third base, opening up the possibility of him regaining eligibility there in fantasy leagues.

Elehuris Montero - Expected to compete for 3B jobMontero is expected to get a chance to compete for the Rockies' third base job with Ryan McMahon moving to second, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
ImpactIt will be Montero and Nolan Jones duking it out at the hot corner, general manager Bill Schmidt told Sherman. Montero faded late with the Rockies last season but overall held his own in his first stint in the majors with a .702 OPS and six home runs over 53 games. He's out of options, so the 24-year-old will make the Opening Day roster no matter what. Montero would be at a disadvantage in a potential platoon scenario though, as the right-handed hitter to Jones' left-handed bat.

Nolan Jones - Will get a shot at third baseJones is expected to get a chance to play third base for the Rockies with Ryan McMahon moving to second, Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports.
ImpactJones has yet to get any reps at third base at the major-league level, but that was his primary position in the minors. He's expected to compete with Elehuris Montero for playing time at the hot corner. Jones has a good eye at the plate and lots of raw power, although that pop hasn't manifested into big home run totals in the minors. Coors Field should help out with that though, making Jones an interesting late-round upside play in fantasy if he can find enough playing time between third base and the outfield.

Ryan McMahon - Expected to move to second baseMcMahon is expected to move to second base for the Rockies in the wake of the Brendan Rodgers (shoulder) injury, general manager Bill Schmidt told Joel Sherman of the New York Post...
ImpactThere's no official word yet on whether Rodgers will need season-ending surgery to repair his left shoulder, but things appear to be trending in that direction. As a result, McMahon will shift to second base, a position at which he has plenty of experience. Regaining eligibility at another relatively weak fantasy position is a boon to his value. Schmidt added that the team would look at Nolan Jones and Elehuris Montero at third base with McMahon on the move. Kris Bryant is expected to still see the bulk of his time in the outfield.
