Luis Robert Jr. - Sitting Tuesday, as expectedRobert (quadriceps) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game at Kansas City.
ImpactManager Pedro Grifol previously suggested Chicago was targeting Wednesday for Robert to rejoin the starting nine, so it's no surprise the outfielder will sit Tuesday for the third straight contest due to a right quadriceps cramp. Oscar Colas will shift to center field while Gavin Sheets receives the start in right.

Yohan Ramirez - Claimed by White SoxThe White Sox claimed Ramirez off waivers from the Pirates on Tuesday, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
ImpactRamirez was designated for assignment Friday despite holding a decent 3.67 ERA and 31:14 K:BB through 34.1 innings of relief this season with Pittsburgh. The 28-year-old right-hander could get a look in Chicago's bullpen down the stretch but will head to Triple-A Charlotte for now.

Nick Loftin - Gaining foothold in lineupLoftin will start at first base and bat eighth in Tuesday's game against the White Sox.
ImpactLoftin has now cracked the lineup in four of the Royals' past five games, making starts at three infield spots and designated hitter during that span. Though the Royals may not commit to Loftin as their top option at any one position, the 24-year-old's versatility should allow him to hold down a near-everyday role so long as he continues to swing a hot bat. Through his first three big-league games, Loftin has gone 5-for-10 with three doubles, two walks, three runs and three RBI.

Matt Beaty - Sits against rightyBeaty is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the White Sox.
ImpactThe lefty-hitting Beaty is on the bench for the third straight game, with two of those absences having come against right-handed starting pitchers. Beaty had a brief run as a strong-side platoon player at first base to close out August but the Royals appear to have instead opted for a committee approach to the position.

Kyle Isbel - Held out again TuesdayIsbel (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the White Sox.
ImpactIsbel hasn't played since Friday because of a tight hamstring. The Royals consider the injury to be minor and expect Isbel to avoid the injured list, but the longer his absence drags on, the odds of an IL stint certainly increase. Drew Waters is in center field again Tuesday.
