ImpactOn Aug. 17, Quero was placed on the he 7-day injured list after injuring his back. It was thought that he was due to make his MLB in September prior to the injury, but those chances slim with the White Sox having just nine games left for the 2024 season.

The outfielder scored the game-tying run and subsequently remained in the contest as Los Angeles' designated hitter. Moniak then logged a plate appearance in the 12th inning, though he didn't swing the bat, drawing a walk on four consecutive balls. Per Kyle Glaser of Baseball America, Moniak didn't swing due to his hand injury. It's unclear when he will be ready to return to the Angels' lineup.
